GECCO VILLA IN KOH TAO, THAILAND

Stayed in Villa Sabai Jai “Gecco villa” for five days in June. When we got to Koh Tao, the taxi driver Mr. Bear was there to pick us up. Very friendly and helpful. The friendly and smiling housekeeper was there to welcome us when we arrived the villa, and served fresh juice while showing us the villa and the folders wich is made out of the owners own experiences, and has a lot of useful information. The villa is absolutely amazing. The pool and the balcony was bigger than we thought, and the view is incredibly beautiful. The pictures do NOT lie. We also like the personality of the villas and its easy to see the owners Bob and Åsa’s passion for the place. I think the location is good, because its in a quiet area, and only a 10 minutes drive in taxi or motorbike to the harbour, and the streets with shops and restaurants. But maybe not so good for older People because of the steep roads. The housekeeper was cleaning the rooms and balcony everyday, and if we have any questions or needs we could always call her at anytime. The pool was also cleaned everyday. We hope that we could spend our holiday in Villa Sabai Jai again in the near future. We would love to come back again.

The villa was excellent in so many ways: beautifully presented, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms…and the views across Shark Bay were just fabulous. There was also plenty to meet everyone’s needs – snorkeling off the community piers, diving, walking, lazing around the pool and lots of restaurants to explore. The Taxi driver that the owners recommend was always punctual and extremely helpful. The housekeeper cleaned each day and was available should we need anything but was also very respectful of our privacy.

When we arrived at the villa Phyu the housemaid was waiting to show us around the villa. The decoration of the villa is very stylish, clean and neat. It was dark when we arrived and we couldn’t wait to wake up and see the view from the pool terrace as we knew it would be amazing. The view did not disappoint, you could spend your whole visit getting lost in the beauty of it. The beds are all positioned so that you can see the stunning views whilst lying in bed. The villa contained extremely detailed information about the villa, the restaurants and beaches of the island. Bob and Asa have supplied wonderful descriptions of each beach, restaurant and the activities available on Koh Tao, taking away the worry of having to spend too much time figuring out what to do and where to eat for yourself. Phyu, the maid, was extremely helpful. On our first day we asked her for directions to the nearest beach and instead of just telling us, she walked down there with us to show us the way. The villa is situated quite high up which does mean that it’s quite a workout to get to the beach, but is well worth it. The taxi’s, although quite expensive are really quick and reliable. You can also order take away food to the villa which we did on a couple of occasions and both times the food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. Bob and Asa were on location whilst we were there and they couldn’t have been more helpful. We were also invited to have a few drinks with them the day before we left and they are just the loveliest people who really want you to feel at home and enjoy your holiday. We arrived on Ko Tao and we’re picked up and taken up the cliff side to the stunning Gecco Villa!! We walked in and our jaws dropped. The view was amazing with the infinity pool looking over the ocean. We were more than pleased with our stay and how beautiful the property was. We would return in a heart beat and tell everyone that is looking to stay in Ko Tao to stay at the Gecco Villa or the Eagle Villa. We got to see the Eagle and looked even more amazing!!!!

Every detail, perfect. So relaxing, so beautiful, and incredibly efficient. Was really hard to leave.
